World Hope Missions is a faith-based organization whose focus is to help as many marginalized, impoverished, abused and abandoned people as possible with practical help and the message of the Good News of Jesus Christ!  Our goals is to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives in a permanent way – giving them hope for a better future.  We also are involved in projects that strengthen the “church” around the world – through discipleship, teaching, prayer and evangelism.

Providing safe, Christ-centered homes where children know that they are loved and cared for is one of our highest goals at World Hope Missions. Children in our homes receive a good diet, medical and dental care, a safe place to develop into the people that God wants them to be and receive a quality education so that they have opportunities to attend university or receive job skill training.

Helping these children find God’s plan for their lives will allow them to break the cycle of despair and poverty that is so common in these cultures and give them hope for a brighter future.

Can You Help Us Buy A Van For Our Kids?

We have a special need right now to purchase a school van for our Children’s Home in Ponneri, India.  Our kids attend really good schools but have to be transported every day to get to them because it is too far for the little ones to walk.

So every day our home administrators have been driving them to school.  But the vehicle they have available to them will not hold all the children at once.  So they have been taking two trips each way each day which is not only time-consuming, but is also getting very expensive for the gasoline.  Our current monthly budget doesn’t include this expense so our administrators have to cover this cost themselves and they just don’t have the financial means to do so.

Prayerfully, we are asking our partners here if they might be willing to help us purchase a used van to transport the children to and from school.  We have found one in Chennai, about a three-hour drive from our home that is a 1996 model but only gently used.  It has about 30,000 miles on it and is in very very good condition inside and out.  It will only need new tires – maintenance records are all in order and insurance is paid until next year.

The cost of the vehicle – which is called a Tempo Traveler – is $4,500.  Because it is older, only $1730 can be financed and paid monthly.  That leaves us with a need for $2,770 to purchase this van.  World Hope doesn’t currently have enough undesignated funds in our account to cover this purchase so we are asking too see if anyone might be able to help us with our “van fund” – even small amounts will help.
